Walter Benjamin review
When I read 'The Work of Art in the Mechanical Age of Reproduction,' I was suprised at how he discussed the theme of media affecting users. We are in an age of dependency with technology, along with it being a research tool. Are their other uses? Walter Benjamin states: "The presence of the original is the prerequisite to the concept of authenticity." He is pointing out that everything has evolved from something. Books came before Amazon Kindle, mail came before e-mail. phones came before Skype. . .does it make sense? Yes! Because in order for something great to happen, you must start with something first. Benjamin is discussing how technology's role is changing in lives all over the world. I would like for questions and comments to be sent to my email.
